SingleHop has recently named Chris Locke the company's chief financial officerWeb hosting provider SingleHop announced on Thursday it has recently named Chris Locke the company’s chief financial officer where he will be responsible for the accounting, finance and administrative functions of the company.
SingleHop founder and CEO Zak Boca said adding an experienced CFO was a critical step in the next phase of SingleHop’s growth strategy.
The move is particularly important considering SingleHop’s recent $27.5 million investment by private equity firm Battery Ventures.
“Chris adds strong executive management leadership to our company,” Boca said. “His leadership and experience will help SingleHop achieve our aggressive growth and expansion plans.”
Locke comes from a diverse background, having worked in public accounting and for both private-owned and publicly traded businesses in the CFO role. He said working for a high-growth startup was a priority in his career.
“I haven’t had the opportunity to work with a company in as high growth of a mode as SingleHop has been in,” Locke said. “This is a high-growth company with unique finance, accounting, and operational needs. I’m here to help take those aspects to the next level and to help build the infrastructure needed to facilitate continued growth and profitability.”
Having worked in both startups and public companies, Locke said he feels more at home in the startup environment.
Locke said he likes the culture of working at SingleHop and thinks it is the perfect fit for him.
Earlier this year, SingleHop reported its 2011 financial results, which includes achieving $22 million in revenues with 42 percent EBITDA margins.
